Jerry Cazarez, CMT
Jerry Cazarez, CMT, established his therapeutic massage practice, In Touch Therapy, at the Dimensions in Health Center immediately following his certification from Trinity College in 1998. Heavily involved in action sports, Jerry was inspired to enter the field of massage therapy after researching and following a program of self rehabilitation, which included massage therapy and chiropractic care, after sustaining serious injuries which his medical doctors determined would prevent him from continuing in his chosen area of sports. On his own, he was able to return to and even expand his sports activities and helping others to avoid an experience similar to his own became his goal.
Jerry’s treatment philosophy is based on building trust through common experience. In addition to understanding sports injuries, how to treat them and how to avoid future injures, he also treats muscle injures that develop through every day life experiences, in addition to automobile accident and work place injures.
Jerry has worked extensively with clients who enjoy the following sports:
- Cross-fit Competition
- Snow Boarding and Skiing
- Martial Arts
- Motorcycle Sports
Jerry is currently involved in and holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and provides massage therapy to participants at different martial arts and jujutsu tournaments throughout the South Bay area. In the past he has worked with the San Jose State women’s tennis team and The San Jose Sabercats.
